Kalibunder, November 29, 2023 - In a commendable display of community spirit, Bripka Gonti Manik, the Bhabinkamtibmas of Bojong Village, took the lead in a collaborative effort to repair a bridge damaged by recent heavy rains in Cijati hamlet, Bojong Village, Kalibunder District, Sukabumi Regency.
The initiative, carried out during the Wednesday morning hours starting from 08.00 WIB, saw local residents coming together for a 'gotong royong' (mutual cooperation) activity to restore the bridge's integrity. The structure had been compromised due to the relentless rainfall, posing a potential hazard to the community.
Under the watchful eye of Police Chief IPTU Taufick Hadian S.IP, Bripka Gonti Manik not only supervised the physical efforts but also seized the opportunity to disseminate information about the Police Chief's program known as "A'A DEDE" - an acronym for Agamis (Religious), Aman (Safe), Dedikasi (Dedication), Empati (Empathy), Damai (Peaceful), Efektif (Effective), and Efisien (Efficient).
During this outreach, Bhabinkamtibmas emphasized the importance of community vigilance, especially during the rainy season when natural disasters can unexpectedly occur. Additionally, informative leaflets on social media were distributed, advocating for the halt of deforestation and promoting local environmental greening initiatives.
The community engagement didn't end there; Bripka Gonti Manik expressed hope that such endeavors would position him as a reliable ally in maintaining the overall tranquility of the community.
